    Of the seven Emirates that make up the UAE (Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Fujairah, Ras al-Khaimah, Sharjah, Ajman and Umm al-Quwain), Emirate of Abu Dhabi accounts for 87% of the UAE's total area. The smallest emirate, Ajman, accounts for less than 1% of the UAE's total area.

    Burj Khalifa

    Burj Khalifa, the tallest man-made structure in the world, is in Dubai, UAE. It also holds the world records for most floors in a building (163), world's highest restaurant (At.mosphere restaurant on the 122nd floor), world's highest nightclub (on its 144th floor) and world's longest elevator travel distance (504m). The Fountain at the Burj Khalifa is the most powerful and biggest automated fountain in the world. It can shoot water 130 metres high — as high as a 50-storey building

    Tallest hotel

    The 1,165-foot-tall J W Marriott Marquis Dubai in UAE is the world’s tallest hotel. It consists of two 77-floor twin towers with 1,608 rooms and offering over 8,000 square metres of indoor and outdoor event space, four Presidential suites, a banquet hall, an auditorium, 18 Shops, 19 Restaurants and a spa. Designed by architect Ashok Korgaonkar, the two top floors are occupied by Vault, one of the hotel’s 15 lounge bars and restaurants and a swimming pool can be found on the mezzanine level between floors 6 and 7.
